Our Partner2Prevent initiative is designed to keep our residents safe and healthy while being a member of our community in this “new normal” environment we’re currently experiencing. The best practices outlined in this initiative take into consideration the wellness of both residents and our employees—making this effort a true partnership for the good of the community. We’re committed to these measures to encourage our residents to enjoy all aspects of the community, including taking advantage of amenities, attending LifeWorks events, and interacting with friends and neighbors without fear or hesitation. Here is what we are doing:
Our team is actively working to prepare the community ahead of schedule to be able to accommodate requests for early move-in. We will be continually tracking decisions and announcements from the University in order to anticipate our residents' needs and make the transition as stress-free as possible.
With capacity guidelines in place for the fitness center, we have also made certain items available by reservation to be used outdoors or at the resident's apartment. Additionally, each resident will be issued a WellBeats account to participate in virtual fitness classes.
Every apartment, and its contents, has been sanitized in accordance with the CDC guidelines and using EPA certified disinfectants and have received a “RentReady” certification.
Resident move-ins will occur on a staggered basis to limit interactions. Additionally, each resident will be given a touchless key to be used for their apartment to minimize traditionally high-touch areas for residents. Other communal doors around the community and gate system will also utilize the touchless key system.
Upon move-in, each resident will receive a list of shared living best practices and CDC guidelines applicable to living with roommates and will be required to acknowledge receipt of these guidelines.
We have appointed dedicated community assistants to help monitor the proper usage and occupancy of the amenity areas. The P2P ambassadors will also wipe down frequently touched surfaces throughout the day and help to manage amenity space scheduling.
We will be increasing the number of events held throughout the year while limiting the number of people that can attend each event to maintain social distancing requirements while still allowing residents to partake in fun activities with fellow neighbors. Residents will be required to RSVP to events via the ResidentPortal.
An online scheduling system for the fitness center and pool will be used to track the capacity of these amenities per State and Local guidelines. We have posted signage and marked areas of our community amenities to maintain social distances. Also, we are requiring residents to bring their own cups for use of the coffee bar and other refreshments.
We will perform sanitization fogging on common areas on a regular basis using an EPA approved disinfectant.
